Polish Christmas Ornaments
Gail's Grandmother Marie Sokolowski traveled to Poland in the 1930's and brought back handmade ornaments. They hung on Gail's family tree until she inherited them when her parents died in the early 1990's. Each one has a unique face and figure. Some are in traditional Polish costumes. Others are in winter garb or exotic costumes. They are made out of straw, cloth and paper. Some ornaments are positioned in front of a blown glass Rolliflex camera ornament which commemorates Gail's mother's long career as a newspaper editor and photographer in Minnesota. She always used a Rolliflex. You can also see the Shreeve's Red Sox ornament which came out the year they won the World Series in 2004.
